  4. Review Purchases of Electric Pool for October, 1998  Information

    5. Staff will review the electric power purchases for the month of October, 1998

  5. Review of Proposed Electric Power Purchases Policy and NCPA Contract Changes  Action

    6. Staff will review proposed changes to the ABAG POWER power purchasing policy in response to Board action, time schedule and structure of the RFP for purchasing electric power and associated changes in the NCPA contract. ABAG Staff is proposing the electric power pool purchase control and procedures policy be amended to 1) reflect the Committee's direction for a lower risk purchasing strategy, 2) increase the number of energy providers for ABAG Power, and 3) expansion of NCPA responsibility to purchase electricity for ABAG at below PX, market, or supply contract rates.

  6. Review of Natural Gas Pool Program  Information

    7. Nancy Moon of I.Q. Solutions will give a status report on the projected program savings for the first quarter of the program covering the period from July through September. This program is benefiting this year from improved gas management, elimination of the CPUC surcharge, and lower administrative fees.

  7. Approve ABAG POWER Financial Reports as of July 31, 1998  Action

    8. Joseph Chan ABAG Finance director will present the ABAG POWER financial reports as of July 31, 1998 and review the status of agency payment of their levelized monthly bills.

  8. Status Reports of CellNet Meter Installation and New Billing Subcommittee  Information

    9. Staff will present a report on the status of the meters being installed by CellNet and the startup of the new Billing subcommittee with its first meeting scheduled for December 10th.
