| ABAG's Housing Program emphasizes providing input to local jurisdictions to develop integrated jobs/transportation/housing strategies for traffic mitigation. In 1993, ABAG's Executive Board endorsed a policy reform proposal for restructuring the housing needs determination process. Legislation to implement these recommended changes (AB 1499-Campbell) is now pending action by the state legislature. Technical assistance to, and guidance from, local agencies toward implementation of these needs through local plans will be carried out in 1994-95. |
