Technical training for the next century
Serving public and private sector needs
ABAG, Inc. was created by the Association of Bay Area Governments to lessen the burdens of government and improve government efficiency by educating government officials, employees and the public on government regulations and programs, and by improving intergovernmental communication and citizen access, through informational publications, training, conferences, expositions, computer networks, and telecommunications.
Meeting the needs of a rapidly changing region is the key to success in the 1990's. Bay Area industries and governments alike are facing a new era of high technology applications to meet new environmental standards, and the need to manage demographic information and remain competitive in a world market. The burden on supervisors, managers and workers is increasingly challenging.
The ABAG Training Center was formed to help meet this challenge, by providing continuing technical education. As the technical skill level requirements of government and private sector employees converge the ABAG Training Center is there to provide the education.
ABAG, Inc. caters to the needs of the working professional, emphasizing practical application and providing hands-on training programs that give you and your staff the skills needed to get the job done efficiently and competitively.
Technical Training classes have long been a cornerstone of the Training Center. ABAG, Inc. offers classes and continuing education units unavailable anywhere else. Our programs are targeted for engineers, attorneys, contractors, environmental specialists, planners and technical managers. They are specifically designed to update skill levels with new developments, requirements and techniques in their respective fields.
