The agendas for ABAG standing committeees are now being routinely posted at http://www.abag.ca.gov/abag/events/agendas/. The agendas are presented in Adobe Acrobat PDF format and a free plug-in is available for your web browser. Acrobat PDF files are frequently used to post documents on federal websites and the format is superior for retaining the look and feel of the original. After extensive tests, ABAG concluded that the PDF format allowed us to post agendas in a timely manner with greatly reduced effort and staff training.

The San Francisco Private Industry Council helps to promote and foster employment opportunities for the structurally unemployed, the under-employed and other economically disadvantaged members of the community. In fulfilling this purpose, it uses government and private funds to set up training and job placement programs, involves large and small employers in definition and implementation of training programs, works with local school systems to improve the employability of students, and works closely with local government, community organizations and economic development interests to improve growth and job opportunities.
