Chinese Language Menus for abagOnline

abagOnline is now offering Chinese language menus on our home page and second level directories. This posting furthers our experiment in increasing the accessibility to abagOnline. At this time the Chinese language pages, in Big 5 traditional, are viewable through machines with a Chinese operating system, or through Internet Explorer 3 or 4, with a free matching Add-on from Microsoft. The pages may also be viewed in Netscape 4 with a shareware helper application. If you have previously installed the Japanese language Add-on for Internet Explorer, you may have difficulty seeing the Chinese fonts.

Committee Agendas Posted on abagOnline

The agendas for ABAG standing committeees are now being routinely posted at http://www.abag.ca.gov/abag/events/agendas/. The agendas are presented in Adobe Acrobat PDF format and a free plug-in is available for your web browser. Acrobat PDF files are frequently used to post documents on federal websites and the format is superior for retaining the look and feel of the original. After extensive tests, ABAG concluded that the PDF format allowed us to post agendas in a timely manner with greatly reduced effort and staff training.

abagOnline Welcomes the San Francisco Private Industry Council!

The San Francisco Private Industry Council helps to promote and foster employment opportunities for the structurally unemployed, the under-employed and other economically disadvantaged members of the community. In fulfilling this purpose, it uses government and private funds to set up training and job placement programs, involves large and small employers in definition and implementation of training programs, works with local school systems to improve the employability of students, and works closely with local government, community organizations and economic development interests to improve growth and job opportunities.

abagOnline is proud to host their new website located at www.picsf.org
