- Base shear
- Earthquake overturning forces
- The lack of stability imposed by earthquake forces
- Earthquake caused torsional rotation upon homes
- The contractor has a duty to properly perform his/her seismic retrofit work as to both the gravity and horizontal resisting systems in homes.
