Notes:
- Care in specification of bracing
- The contractor should not take responsibility for recommending:
- carport cover bracing
- water heater bracing
- water or propane tank bracing
- chimney bracing
- veneer selection
- other bracing
- If an engineer or architect specifies bracing, the contractor should have the contract state that they are not responsible for future damage arising from such construction
- Always check with the local building department to be sure a particular system or detail is approved
