ABAG Green Communities Program

Program Overview - GHG Emissions Inventories - Benchmarking Training

Program Overview
Copyright 2011, PG&E Green Communities represents a portfolio of programs administered by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) using rate payer funds under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission to support local governments and communities to achieve greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction goals and give local governments the tools necessary to evaluate their facilities' energy use.

One of these programs is designed to train local government staff and interns to understand and complete a greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory for local government operations.

The other program is a series of benchmarking workshops, offered through the San Francisco Bay Area at no cost. The goal of this program is to significantly increase the number of local government buildings using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.
