Global Climate Change (pdf, 161 KB)

MTC has referred the issue of global climate change to the JPC for study  and action recommendations.  The attached memo refers.

Regional Housing Needs Allocation (RHNA) and Projections 2007 (pdf, 221 KB)

Government Code Section 66536 requires that the JPC review and comment on the RHNA.  The JPC may also comment on Projections 2007 as a major regional planning document.  The attached memo refers.

Focusing Our Vision (FOCUS) Progress and Proposed Amendments to Smart-Growth Polices (pdf, 83 KB)

At its September 22nd meeting, the Committee directed that the Regional Planning Program Director report back on refinements to the Regional Smart Growth Preamble and Policies.  The attached staff memo recommends these refinements and reports on FOCUS progress since the JPC's last meeting.  For the Committee's discussion, an attachment provides a proposal from ABAG's Interim Regional Planning Director on a coordinated outreach effort for FOCUS, RHNA, Projections, and the next RTP.

The JPC may take action on any item listed in the agenda.

This meeting is scheduled to end promptly at 12:00 Noon.  Agenda items not considered by that time may be deferred.

The public is encouraged to comment on agenda items by completing a request-to-speak card and giving it to JPC staff or the chairperson.

Although a quorum of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission may be in attendance at this meeting, the Joint Policy Committee may take action only on those matters delegated to it.  The Joint Policy Committee may not take any action as the Metropolitan Transportation Commission unless this meeting has been previously noticed as a Metropolitan Transportation Commission meeting.
