Project Team

From the very beginning, the Project has been guided by staff from the five regional agencies, representatives from the Bay Area Alliance for Sustainable Communities, representatives of economy, environment and equity interests, and other regional stakeholders and agencies. Together, these diverse individuals constitute the Smart Growth Working Group, which

• serves as a sounding board for project strategies,
• develops policy recommendations and proposals for new project programs,
• and provides evaluation and input on Project products.

Since the regionwide Smart Growth Vision was unveiled late in 2002, the Project has sought guidance from the Regional Agencies Coordinating Committee (RACC), which replaced the disbanned Smart Growth Steering Committee as the Project's main advisory body.
